Yes, I always learn something from these documentaries. A pictures is worth a thousand words, but the opposite is true as well!

Research work and the funding gymnastics that goes behind the research are something that I could never cope with.  Sadly a lot of scientists, especially in the university sector, hit these walls to continuing their work.

Glad that the thread can still be to enjoyment. Not sure if I posted this link earlier in the thread, but I use to check the image created by one of the Poker Flat all-sky cameras daily for auroral activity etc:

It is a bit north of us, but it gives a good indication what to expect, as the aurora camera in Fairbanks has not been operating since this spring.
