Greetings to Paco in El Puerto de Santamaria,  sunny Spain, and the discussions we had there recently. I couldn't resist the temptation of making a screen shot of this video aired by the National broadcaster here today, showing snow clearing crew trying to find where the road runs :)

That's crazy. We have to open all the windows on the dance school not to die of heat!

By the way, the National Broadcaster provides images with a very good sense of composition...

Good work John with your cat portraits - they are not always the best of sitters.

It was snowing again this morning when I headed towards Oslo, which is approx. 45 km away and is situated on the Oslo Fjord. Nearly no snow in the downtown areas and surprised to see the first half-frozen cherry trees desperately trying to blossom despite the cold weather.

I've got a rough idea what Ian 's magnificent prehistoric muncher might be.

But what type of birds are flying above Birna's frozen blossom?
In the UK, they might have been pigeons but I'm not sure the wing shape looks right......

By the way, (delicate though the blossoms look), the birds complete the image for me

According to my meagre insight into ornithology, they were pigeons ....

Shot just before the onset of the latest snow fall. The Rodenstock TV-Heligon 50mm f/0.75 has the most beautiful smooth bokeh.
