Looking out the window this morning reminds me why I'm now counting the days until I meet up with Paco in sunny Andalusia :) Snowfall has commenced again for the nth time this spring. Spain is just 6 days ahead !!

I'm also testing how to create panoramas with the Rodenstock TV-Heligon 50/0.75. Here is a first try, 17 frames on the hand-held Z30 in early morning light. So early in fact I didn't have to use the ND8X filter as exposures were within the permissible range of the Z30! There are a few stitching errors and other irregularities I just let slide by as this was more a proof of concept than production work. I hope to refine my approach later when using Paco's Sachtler tripod. Ruth doesn't like spiked tripods on her wooden floors.

Testing out a new toy, 0.6° angle of view, same as a 4000mm lens would have on a full frame camera.  8)
Part of the setup is 300mm PF+TC-14E+TC-20E III. A neighbor's creative art worked as substitute for a planet.

Pentax Q?

A somewhat similar sensor size as the Q. but not the same. The Q would not be able to record full resolution raw video for stacking. The above image is a stack of about 200 video frames.
Answer in the lunar images thread  :) https://nikongear.net/revival/index.php?topic=1867.msg189970#msg189970 , or in this link for those who want to cheat  :)  https://astronomy-imaging-camera.com/product/asi678mc. It is what is designated as an uncooled planetary camera, but with smaller pixels and larger imaging area than most of them.

Here is another 100% crop from the same take of that thread (open in new tab and click for full resolution).

Thank you for the details.  Yes, after I had posted the question, I found your post on the Moon image thread.  :)  I'm looking forward to seeing more of the result of your new dedicated toy!
