Thank you Hugh, Ian and John

So this is a valley in the Black Mountains between Mynydd Troed and Mynydd Llangorse
There are many prehistoric sites here, burial mounds etc
The scenery and lighting were stunning on the day I visited, with many sets of thick clouds moving quickly to reveal bright sunshine & blue skies, then repeat.

It's just across the border from Herefordshire where I live
The words "Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty" appear several times around here in Google maps and they're fairly accurate :)

I see its just below Three Cocks, thanks Colin for pointing out!

Agreed Tom, this reminds me of more than one day in the Netherlands
There's also a sense of mischief that John had the Z9 and 24-70/2.8G yet chose to capture such blurred motion :)
Thanks Colin ;)

Still a long way from spring, here is one of my latest aurora captures i Fairbanks. I added some contrast and saturation, but WB was kept at my standard manual daylight for astro captures, so no artificial color cast was added.

Breathtaking.  The faint red part of the aurora makes it special to me.

Thanks Akira, the reds are certainly much sought after, often present if aurora occurs at lower latitudes, but not that frequent at higher latitudes.  It is often best to try for the weaker auroras then where the greens do not overwhelm other colors. But the eye is not very sensitive to these red wavelength at low light intensities; it will look very gray. So one will use the camera as ones eye to explore.

Thanks Fons.

Here is another colorful one, two sides of the "good" mandarine in the basket, that is from a UV-induced visual fluorescence (UVIVF) perspective.  ;D
