I wonder if this front panel imply "Hook"?!

It certainly could leave that impression, but it actually is my house number: 7. It's black and almost impossible to see at night, not very practical choice on my part. My neighbors find themselves getting some of my deliveries, especially at this time of year when the sun goes down so early. It fact, it happened again last night when the DHL guy couldn't deliver a painting brush I had ordered from Japan. Coincidence that you would comment on this picture? I think not!  :o

Tom, thank you for clarifying the situation.  I had no idea of you having ordered a painting from Japan.  Hope it to be delivered safely.  :)

Maybe use the brush (if it arrives) to paint the number gold or yellow?

Thanks. Yes, I've thought of something like that, or perhaps fluorescent tape. Only downside is I think I might spoil the look of the mailbox, which I like as it is. Form versus function rears its heads once again.

I ordered a brush not a painting. It's a relatively inexpensive calligraphy brush that the store labeled for "newcomers" and it still cost me $50. Buying a really good one would cost me an arm and a leg, a price I am unwilling to pay.  :P
