I wonder how many would have correctly figured out that it was captured with a 60 year old lens had John not already told us?


John, you have a remarkable ability to see a good photograph in everyday settings.

That old Micro Nikkor still acquits itself well.

Thanks Ian and Hugh   The Micro Nikkor 55 f/3.5  (the compensating version) is still a very remarkable and good lens. And my sample works also good for distant scenes.

I did promise to take my 105mm f/2.5 for a spin. Here it is wide open on my Z6.

Very sharp lens, despite the darkish weather and the f/11 ;)  Focussing on the Z camera's is pretty easy
