Political statement? You must be in the dark about their hidden agenda, sorry Frank!

Jerusalem, biblical symbolism, brighter future? I do not know about a "hidden agenda". Maybe I am not paranoid enough?

Great photo, Fons.  The light is gorgeous.

Bibliotheek Neude, Utrecht/Nederland. Built 1920-1924 as Post Office in style of "Amsterdamse School", architect Joseph Crouwel. Converted to Library 2016-2020.

Nice Take.
In my hometown there is a former church from about the same time, which resembles the same shape with its portal arches.
The shape of the parabolic arches is reminiscent of steel tubbings, which were used in mining to support the tunnels.
Build from bricks as well.
https://www.emschertainment.de/veranstaltungsorte/heilig-kreuz-kirche/

Architect was Josef Franke https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Josef_Franke_(Architekt,_1876)
He did a few projects and buildings in the greater area.

I may have a few photos from the time as it still was considered a operational church.

And yeah - obviously the town was grown on coal and steel and for many of us the structural archetypes are still present on the mind.

This was shot at the dawn of last Tuesday when the rain caused by the typhoon no. 14 (named Nanmadol) was at the heaviest.  The image was shot with my iPhone SE2, and this strange pink color of the sky is just like what I observed.
Great capture of the doomsday light and mood. Strong stuff.
