Carbon credits?

Thanks for the enthusiastic comments, Akira, Paco, Bruno, John, and Fons.
The capture was extremely lucky. I heard the plane but never had it in my sight, likely because I was peeking over the camera with my eclipse glasses so everything else was black, and the camera screen blacks out during exposures. I routinely release the shutter for repeated frames with a 5 sec release delay during solar captures so there was no chance of intentional timing here. But the thought occurred to me that it would have been neat if it had gotten into the frame.  When reviewing the frames I was at first wondering what that disturbing blob in my frame was and almost deleted it! Then I was initially a bit sorry I did not quite capture the whole tail, but if I had just been a few millisecond later I would likely have missed the warm exhaust/contrail bending the light of the sun.

The equipment was tripod mounted 300PF protected by Baader Astrosolar ND 5.0 film with stacked TC-14E and TC-20E III  on my D500.

Lovely and rural, (but not completely without some colourfringe on the high contrast of the trees).
Thanks Fons.

I checked the original, but there is no colour fringing. Where do you think you see some?

Thanks Paco.

I'm attracted to this corner's view every time.

I can imagine, the combination of colours and the contrast of the romantic lightpost with the rudimentary architecture of the building.

Congrats on your 105mm macro, Bent, i had to wait 2 months for my copy of the 105mm, but glad i did for the price went up with a 100 euro where the other z lenses showed rebates.
Congrats Bent.

Same applies for me, Fons.  waiting now 1 month.  Patience is a great thing ;)

I see some on my laptop in the outline of the foliage, or my eyes are playing up? Maybe !

In this image there is a little bit of blue fringing as it is in strong contrast with the ligth (sun). Overall you must really try hard to get some fringing  ;)

I was lucky. In Bruxelles, by chance, I parked our car in front of a Nikon Pro Store. I went in and asked for their selection of native Z glass. They had the MC105 on the shelve for 1200 Euros including Belgium tax.

Initial price on the 105 was €1099, now its up to €1199 vat included.

This type of colouration is about on any lens as far as i know, () can live with it ()
; a simple way is to reduce the blue channel in your editor

It is wonderful here in Scotland. A five people meetup is quite different from a 25 people meetup like the one in 2016.

Yes, I ordered with the old price and including a 15% discount I received when purchasing in the Nikon Store.  Price of the 24-70/2.8S increased in Germany from € 1.999 to  € 2.499 by the way.
