At the entrance of Stadsbos013 on the road to 'Grotto'

The day started sunny and cold, and ended in rain and cold.

Lovely stuff.

I really need to lock the cabinet containing my AF lenses, and give my ‘vintage’ manual lenses some love. Especially the zoom lenses.

Thanks Snoogly.

It's worth to use the 'older' zooms on the full frame Nikon Z's, Especially the Nikkor 35-70 / 3.5 Ai and the C 80-200/4.5 and AIS 80-200/4 are doing great on these camera's.

Dropped my camera from the 6th floor of the emergency stair to the 3rd floor yesterday.   :'(  The lens seemed to have taken almost all of the shock and abuse of the drop and become irreparably defunct, but the camera appears to remain almost intact.   ::)  Nevertheless, I sent the camera body to SIGMA for the full check and maintenance.  My only "functioning" camera for a couple of weeks would be the one in my 2nd gen iPhone SE.

Here's a frame I took during the stroll this afternoon.

What a loss  Akira.  Was it a special lens?  Hopefully the camera is OK !

Love this view.  Is it a canal?  Not so many trees in that area.

Thank you for your concern, John.  The defunct lens was Lumix S 50/1.8 that I had bought only a few weeks ago.  I loved the images the lens offered and I think its large plastic lens hood functioned very efficiently as the shock absorber.

This is Tamagawa river, one of the largest three rivers running through Tokyo.  It takes only 10-20 minutes to walk the area from my place.  Both riversides are utilized as playgrounds, camping sites, mini-golf courses et al.  Also, there are dikes all along the river to protect the residential areas against the flood.  So, there are not many trees left.

Thank you, Nasos.  You are very right.  My iPhone SE has a single 26mm equivalent lens which is exactly the range I've never really used, so it will offer a good opportunity to think differently.

The beloved Rodenstock 100mm f/1.6 will focus to infinity on the Z system. Here it is attached to my Z fc. The bokeh balls are splendid. An early morning capture thus the light is very blue.

Is this an uncroped APS-C frame?  The Heligon seems to perform marvelously on the relatively large sensor and at distance.

Typical Dutch scene imo. Lots of rules, often ignored. Those specials are also very expensive!
