Hanging lichens on conifers is a sure sign of an old forest. A pity the dense-standing trees "steal" the light however one has to open up the lens and hope for the best.

There is a highly threatended species Usnea longissima that can extend to 5-6m in length. It was formerly used as tinsel for Xmas decorations. Very bad for a species that grows slowly and depends on existence of 200+ yr old forests.

I just updated the firmware for the Foolography GPS unit on my spare Df and decided to give it a spin.

Thank you. I haven't shoot dancers for a while now and I do miss it. I just took a couple of shots at the end of this class. By chance the nextphoto/dance job is in a couple of days.

What? For real? Looks like a Heath Robinson contraption.

Japan is ‘funny’, as there are several different kinds of gas, and heater. 30 years ago I was living in a dismal shared house, when suddenly a gas man rushed in and confiscated our heater. He told us that it didn’t match the gas supply, and was VERY dangerous. We argued, but we couldn’t deny that for almost a year our health had been troubling.
