Today, I returned from a tiresome botanical collecting trip to Western Norway to find my new gem, the 5cm f/1.1 Nikkor RF(S) had arrived earlier this morning. Re-energised if not entirely rejuvenated, I put the new lens on my Zfc where it likely will be a work horse. I also briefly appraised its potential as an IR lens for the Z5. For IR, you would not want to stop down to far in order to avoid an IR hot spot. However, this hardly will matter for IR as the idea is to use the lens more or less wide open anyway.
Just playing around with it on the Zfc showed some of the capabilities the f/1.1 has to offer. This is a very Jakov-esque lens, for sure.
Waiting for a connection
