Can anyone confirm the orientation of the metal spacer in the rear optical group?

The spacer is flat on one side and  scalloped on the other - can anyone confirm the orientation in relation to the rear element?



I was cleaning dust etc and inadvertently the blower dislogdeged the spacer.

Referencing Richard's article I'm not able to determine from the images included:
