Give that my site has existed in one form or another for at least 25 years, I am sure Nikon employees are aware of my site, I wonder what they think of my efforts? The Nikon corporation may have mixed views on my site. On one hand they will be pleased there are those who devote so much time to their products, it helps to keep their brand strong. On the other hand, there are likely to be some inaccuracies or missing data (especially camera serial nos) which could be misleading, and where my site has accurate production numbers my site could be giving away valuable information they prefer their competitors not to see??
The nearest to any sort of official contact from Nikon was when a representative at Nikon France emailed me about 10 years ago. They were setting up a database so owners could register their lens and camera serial numbers. They wondered where I got my serial numbers from as I had information they didn't even have
