Hydrangea.
A very nice combination of subtle colours.

Vancouver looks as beautiful as I remember. Which bridge is that in the background?

Here is a noir version of my daughter. Does she remind anyone else of Kirsten Dunst's Claudia in Interview With The Vampire?

Nikon D4, 85mm f/1.8G.

Ruth and I went out again to collect more edible wild plants. I directed her to a known site for the Ostrich Fern Matteuccia struthiopteris, which she found and later added to our dinner. However, this being adjacent to a small wetland, there were unpleasant specimens to be found. Here is the corm of Cowbane Cicuta virosa, which looks harmless enough and even smells delicious of carrot, parsley & celery. However don't be tempted as it is the deadliest plant in the Nordic flora. Even a tiny fragment, if ingested, will cause a violent and unpleasant death.

Poor Socrates got a treatment with Conium maculatum, which is about as bad and unhealthy as that of our native Cicuta. Fortunately, Conium is extremely rare in our flora. Wish the same could be said about the Cicuta.

I like this other-worldly rendition.

Wow, that looks like toxic enough...

The dawn color here in Tokyo today (May 24th) was a bit bizarre.

I posted its pano versions here:

The month has almost ended and I haven't been very productive.  No excuses, only a couple of images to show.  First is the domestic symphony with my wife Martha conducting the orchestra.  Next, the edge of a new frond from a sago palm in our yard.

The second one is within context and rather appropiate in this thread ;)
