Whatever tool makes your imagination and creativity fly is all right. I must confess to be partial to the Nikon Df, however I use on a regular basis Nikon DSLRs from D200 upwards (all F mount), Z cameras Z50, Z5, Z6, Z7(Z mount), 1 Series V1, J2, AW1 (CX mount), Sony NEX-5N (monochrome), and more occasionally Olympus E-M1.2 (underwater housing) and Panasonic GH-2 (UV video & stills). There are boatloads of adapters to keep track of and all those lenses have different filter sizes thus a surprising numer of step-up or step-down rings are mandatory these days. I'm not even mentioned the different batteries and their associated chargers.
Thus any photo trip nowadays require in-depth planning ahead and handling of logistic issues.
