Yes, it can. In fact, versions back to 1.35 can do that although colours are off unless you make a session colour profile.

I have uncompressed Z-files. And Photo Ninja still can't read them in my version 1.3.7a

I haven't any uncompressed files to test with, sorry. You probably can cast them into DNG using the free tools available?

Yes, that is possible of course, but it's an extra step of (unnecessary) work ;)  I was hoping the 'problem' was solved with the  new update.
