The white Japanese plums seen from my balcony started to bloom.

Right, especially in such a low contrast situation.  Ai (probably Ais as well) 200/4.0 is an uderrated optical gem.

Walking, the z6 doesnt like this type of weather, playback functions fails when cold and wet.

Like in ancient times, shoot and play back once at home. Anyway, your photographic walk was worth the frozen fingers.

No problem with the temperature minus 6 or 7 in the afternoon, secret's to dress well , thermo underwear, wax pants and coat, boots, woolen hat etc ;)

Reggie and the Power Max

My new snow-blower chews through a foot of snow as easily as Reg eats his breakfast. It gave me pause at first because it is after all the Power Max, but it is easy to use and fun too. During this Covid winter, one must take one's pleasures where one can.

Up to five more inches tomorrow.

(btw, this doesn't look the same as on my computer - Reg is in focus there. I can't fix it  :P)

Family in an elevator.
The D5´s low light all around attributes are still amazing. Af, high iso files, color, etc...

  D5, 24-70mm 2.8 vr

How do you compare it with the Z6?
You are out there. You and your camera. You can shoot or not shoot as you please. Discover the world, Your world. Show it to us. Or we might never see it.

Actual IQ is comparable in my opinion. Just different "flavor". It is in ergonomics, physical buttons,  speed and low light autofocus where the D5 is better (and battery life!). Z6 is, of course, more quiet and may be more precise with static and has an edge with eye af and the coverage of autofocus points. With manual focus lenses Z6 is way easier. Different machines for different purposes.
High iso images are very close, noise wise.
