Very well written article ;) Congratulation on getting your message out!

One of those few circumstances when the distortion of the CV 40/2 would require a correction. Df, CV40/2 at f/8. TGV station "Meuse TGV", in the middle of nowhere and with most trains passing it at 300-320 km/h.

You know better Frank, while clicking on your link, you land quickly on Frank Fremereym Fraktionsgeschäftsführer Volt Bonn bei Volt-Fraktion im Bonner Stadtrat. It’s one of your habits, when you are not flooding us with your religious proselytism. Let’s keep it to photography.

Still grounded due to the cold Siberian-influenced weather, which apparently is set to last for a long while. I'm going through various gear combinations in anticipation of more conducive conditions and the spring which surely must arrive -- sometime in the future.

Did a quick appraisal of my old UV video gear (Panasonic GH2 full-spectrum with the Petri 35mm f/3.5 lens and Baader U filter). Despite its age the camera still delivers passable results in UV. I managed to capture UV scenes using the camera hand-held. The camera itself crashed badly during the 2012 Southwestern US trip with Andrea and Erik kindly fixed it later, making some expletives regarding its internal construction which partly explained why it had collapsed under field use. I only use it for UV video as its focus correction for visible light/infinity is off, but no problem with my UV-capable lenses fortunately.

Despite the cold winter weather we see modest amounts of snow. However, UV documents insulation issues of the housings in my neighbourhood :(

The GH-2 makes for a nice "UV white" balance in-camera, a capability many other systems lack.
