As he was a retired emeritus professor at UAF I became aware by the announcement that he passed away. Here is a video with him talking about photography and displaying some of his images. The resolution is relatively low, but I do not think that matters.

I did not even notice as I liked the rest of the content and the low key way of presenting it.

What I saw from his website is valuable documentation.  I looked through the "Wandering in Tacoma -1970's" gallery.  A grim place in his camera-eye, both mono and color.  Contrast against Shephen Shore's 'Uncommon Places', also from the 1970's:http://stephenshore.net/photographs/uncommon/index.php?page=1&menu=photographs
