We do need to agree on a suitable time slot. I suggest Friday 25 Sept and perhaps up to max. 1 week further -- for those free to join for an extended period. That will leave us with a common weekend for NG meet-up and enjoyment.

Other suggestions, please come forward with them.

Excellent, I agree. Let's meet (start gathering) on Friday, 25 September.
Then we can all choose to stay either for the weekend or the entire week.

Thomas, your bar photo turned out much better than i expected  ;D
And it is good to see where we are headed, thanks!

That week is not the best for me but I will try to change plans to be be able to attend.
No need to book accommodation for me. I will come by car and will book accommodation myself.
Thanks, Thomas for a interesting series and photographic object!

Just back from short vacation ;) Looks like all is set already, great! 25.09.2020 - 02.10.2020 NikonGear Lake Constace
I'm considering driving there but flights are so cheap and frequent so definitely also an option, Then renting a van 7-9 persons, what do you think Thomas, would you be able to locate a Caravelle or something?

it seems to be 3 groups of participants:

a) coming just for one day and join the group

b) coming over the weekend

c) staying one week

to start asking for possible locations I ´d need to know who belongs to which group

I would try to fit group c) then to a pension and if necessary one or two houses directly beside

group b) to which I belong might fill, if there is space or go to a hotel, as pensions do not really want gueste only for two nights

group a) just gets a short info about location and time in advance

about a car rental:  as I can only stay friday till sunday, might boost it to monday morning, it would be better to rent a car with the driver beeing there the whole week.
I will for sure support and help you to make a nice program for the week.  In case you fly, I suggest to deccide about Zürich or Friedrichshafen, rent a van over there and come togehter.
Let´s first see about the groups sizes. Then I will figure out space and prices and let you agree or disagree.

How do we decide about the program?  For the Mainau island a booking is mandantory, for other places I have to find out and it depends on the group size if it makes sense. A city trip to Lindau, Konstanz or Bregenz makes more sense in a smaller group with one or two cars. With the weekenders we can visit Meersburg with the bus or Überlingen by ship

@ admins:  either everybody mails me about the stay or you make an official list where all have access and we can work as well on the program in it....

I'd like to join under alt.(c).

Air travel to Zurich is quite affordable, so no obstacle to the plans there.

Covid-19 is the dark horse here potentially thwarting the meet-up if the situation in the region worsens.

Considering driving from Copenhagen by car or renting van for us to drive around in.
Yes Covid-19 is the only real obstacle,,,

Erik, if you insist on driving from Copenhagen I might fly down to CPH and join you there.

Air travel to Zurich, then continue with a rental seems the easier approach though.

Let’s agree on Constance - Bodensee. It’s only the n word which seems to be off-limits.  :)

I’d be interested to join for the weekend (option b). I would like to stay a bit longer than just the Saturday and Sunday though, not sure whether that can be part of that option (e.g. arrive Fri, stay Sat, Sun, Mon, leave Tues)?

I still have to make arrangements at work, so that may still throw this off.
