Portrait of K.
« on: June 13, 2015, 19:59:56 »
This is a quick portrait of my sister in law, a successful and outspoken engineer who for some reason feels very insecure in front of a camera.
I am quite happy with this one as it is the first time she looks natural on one of my pictures, and I've been trying for more than 12 years now!

A beautiful portrait, the tight cropping is perfect. Not much insecurity here, she looks very confident.

Beautiful portrait

it is very satisfying as a photographer once a good image is finally obtained from a difficult subject

Yes, nice portrait - and nice that you succeeded at last.

I've been trying to make an informal portrait of my wife for forty years; I don't think it will ever happen.

Thanks everyone.
Dave, don't give up yet. Anyway the process of making the image is as interesting and important as the final output. This is especially true for portraits.
