As far as I know it was launched around 2001 initially for the Bessa rangefinder cameras, together with a brood of other high-quality, well-made Voigtländer lenses in S (Nikon rangefinder) mount. I have the 21mm f/4, 25mm f/4, 58mm f/1.5, and the 85mm f/3.5 from that series. The Bessa saw a first incarnation in Leica "L" mount (screw 39mm), then the Bessa R2S with Nikon S-mount.
Thanks for the explanation, Birna.

Here's one that sums up today in Seattle - sunny and 88F (31C).  This seal just lazing in the sunshine at Commodore Park below the Ballard Locks.  Restriction on recreational fishing has just been lifted, and the gulls, herons and seals (in between naps) were hard at it.  Cheers,  John

May 10, 2020. Evolution of the worried pigeon.

The cleaning lady, alerted by the neighbour, had cleaned the terrace, eliminated the guano and the eggs, but was not smart enough to upturn the vase.
As a result, within hours the pigeon was at it again, less worried than ever...

BTW, the 70-300/4.5-6.3 DX is really a fine little lens! This photo, 1V1 + FT1 + AFP-DX 70-300 @300mm

May 11, 2020. Infrared scene under the morning sun.

The orchards below the San Luca Sanctuary, and its 5 km porch were lit by morning sun, which selected what to illuminate exactly to my taste (lucky me!)

That's the difference between 1.8 and 3.5 (I assume it's wide open? )  I wanted a soft image ;)

Saw this Blue-winged Warbler this evening and began to snap away. Probably took 50 shots and one was good. A positive covid moment.
