Corona daffodil
« on: April 11, 2020, 21:19:08 »
Hi all,

How are you holding up in these isolated times ???

I was going to go crazy, so i ran out with my camera and tripod to a neighbouring perch of flowers which i believe to be of the brand Daffodil and messed with multi exposure.

I'm not entering for the Picture of the Year award, but how do you guys think i did?

Keep your distance and stay healthy !

Thank you gentlemen! I really appreciate you stopping by and commenting.

Obviously, i used zooming while multi-exposing (in camera). I did try to use the wind motion to get "moving" daffodils, but that didn't work out so well (not enough wind maybe).

By the way, it seems that the nikon d850 also saves the individual images to card, as well as the blended multi-exposure one. I didn't know that and i don't remember the d810 doing that. Someone mayb e know whether this is a setting or indeed the intended behaviour?

I can tell you that the Z6 behaves the same way: it saves all the nefs and a single multiexposure jpg

Thanks Paco for your feedback on my question.

Strange thing, however, is that my multi-exposure images are also raw (.NEF). So, i seem to have the individual raw for each exposure as well as the combined exposure as a raw image.

Ah, apologies to all for my question about saving the originals, while this could have been answered from the manual (rtfm).  :-[ :-[

Option 'keep all exposures' allows to make this possible (https://onlinemanual.nikonimglib.com/d850/en/18_menu_guide_03_24.html).

Thanks for checking though.

Dear Hans, i sincerely endorse your multiple exposures!
I used to make multiple exposures with the Df. For some strange reason the D750 limits multiple exposures to only 3 images so that spoiled all the fun...

Thank you very much for stopping by and commenting Gentlemen! Especially in such a positive manner, i appreciate that very much.

Multi-exposure can be a fad, but i believe it turned out quite well in this instance.

Thanks!
