Jumping spyder and prey
« on: April 08, 2020, 17:33:43 »
Since last summer, several jumping spiders have settled inside the house. Every room has one now, thriving on flies and mosquitos. When hunting, they are constantly moving and almost impossible to catch but when they eat, they are an almost perfect model, completely absorbed by their prey, totally oblivious to this big black lens hood moving around them.

The iridescence on the wing is from the flash.

I agree with Bent, dramatic images.  My preference is the first.  Cheers,  John

Well done, Bruno !

You got the perfect angle (wings' plan/ optical axle) to catch this iridescence.

That could be the most unique jumping spider image I've ever seen.  Great observation and perseverance.  Thank you for sharing, Bruno!
