i had to briefly break my quarantine today to get medicines at the local pharmacy. Using an N95 mask I felt safe enough for this short excursion into the "wild". Operating a camera in a masked state is not easy though, so the little NEX-5N Monochrome came to the rescue. The camera with, in this case, a tiny lens such as the 25mm f/4 Voigtländer Scopar is easy to bring with me in the handbag, but I do have issues focusing such a moderately wide and not very bright lens on this camera despite the focus highlighting. Ironically this would be much easier with an OVF and a split-image screen
. Perhaps I should take the Df next time although it is not small enough to go into my usual handbag unless I choose a large one.
Anyway, I got an acceptable snapshot. Need this not to let my imagining skills deteriorate faster than they already do in isolation.
A pity the 25mm f/4 is so elusive as it appears to be an excellent performer.
