Yesterday's moon, sky was still in a blue phase

Nikon 1V3, Nikkor 200-500 + TC14e II + FT1, handheld, no stacking, lots of room for improvement!

Today's moon

Nikon 1V3, Nikkor 200-500 + TC14e II + FT1, handheld, no stacking, already improved

The 1V3 is a neat little camera, almost the resolution as D500 and D5, has an electronic viewfinder and allows for a burst capture of up to 60 fps (1/2 second)

1J5 has the same resolution as D5 and D500: 5588x3712 px. But no EVF, so I did a little modding and I was able to attach a chimney finder to the LCD screen, and voilà: now my 1J5 has an EVF!

Massimo, those 60fps would make it really easy to do stacking

Will have to look into it! BTW, to attain 60 fps, the shutter turns to electronic mode, so there are practically no vibrations.

The lockdown currently present in Italy is discouraging photographic outings, except for extraordinary reasons (health, food, practically nothing else!). Fortunately the Moon shows up every evening, and the clear sky, even in the normally dust/light polluted Nothern Italy, allows for really good shots of our satellite.

She is a member of city council.  She takes care of her grand children because their mother works in the hospital treating Corona patients.

Also her mother lives now with them. "It's for the safety for them all. It are strange times."
