Love the beautiful color contrast between bluish purple and light green.  The overall delicate rendition looks nice, too.

Gorgeous Bob!

May i ask whether you used the D850 focus shift function and if yes, which step size?

May i ask whether you used the D850 focus shift function and if yes, which step size?

so the rig I used was a Cambo Actus Ultima II converted to XL35 with a focus knob on the rear standard. I manually adjusted the focus step. I have purchased a modification that will allow a stackshot motor to be attached to the rear standard focus knob but cannot get the focus knob off the rear standard due to a frozen focus knob set screw. I am hoping that I can free that screw with lubricating oil but it might take days to penetrate. if I can ever get the focus knob off I will be able to replace with the stackshot motor and assoicated Cambo bracket assembly and automate the entire process using the stackshot controller.

step size was by eye and trial and error. with the high mag macro using the Mitutoyo Metallurgic objectives I had the manufactures DoF rating and I could calculate the step size. I guess I could try and calculate the DoF for this lens and then half it for a step size.

success after of four days of penetrating oil and tapping with a hex wrench with a hammer I finally freed the set screw and was able to modify the Cambo Actus with the stack shot motor and controller.
