Akira, your camera can do IR in a pinch?

Nice mood and toning Akira!

Thank you, Eddie.  The simple desaturation went well in this case.  :)

So far as I'm aware, the unmodified Sigma fp can do IR much better than the unmodified D2H or D40 that I had.

I started a dedicated thread for the UV/IR performance of the unmodified Sigma fp in the sister site UV photography.  With 89B equivalent and the camera's good high-ISO performance, you could even handhold the camera to shoot IR.

Did some gardening today.
Removed a lot of this from between the tiles.

French tulip shot with Nikon Z7 - 60mm 2.8G @ ISO64 - f8 - 1/200 + flash

PS: I also tried the 85mm PC-E, 85mm Z lens, 50mm Z lens, Zeiss 135mm lens with the Z7 as well as Olympus PEN-F with 60mm macro lens. They all perform beautifully. But I was especially surprised by the PEN-F/60mm combo.

Fons, nice multi.
Bent, great colours and well captured.
Peter, such subtle beauty.
Birna, junkyard blues nice catch.

My image for today, captured during a short stroll along the neighbourhood.

climbed to the roof
aligned my equatorial mount
mounted the 70-300 on the x-t3 and left it taking 1 min exposures for 90 minutes....

Thanks Armando.
I'm in awe at producing an image with clarity like this with just a 300mm zoom lens and remembered some of the hoops you'd had to jump through on comparable shots you've done in the past.
