Everything is closed but most basic: groceries, pharmacy, etc...

This cat was very curious, and faster than my old AF 85mm f1.8 and the Df autofocus, but got this one a couple of days ago.

Corona related murder? No football, no hookers, stay indoors not easy for testosterol driven males. I am an intellectual, I can work an write and read. I have no such trouble
It's not known.  But closing down all the pubs and restaurants is, on  the long term, not the best what can happen and may lead to outbursts .

Stay cool all!

Wonderful  Armando.
Any backstory to its acquisition?

well ... it has been ages since there has been good condition for astrophoto
driving to  a darker location would be one hour or so, but was feeling lazy and we are supposed to stay home
outside my house there is new street lights now leds vs the ugly yellow ones, but these are brighter, so I wasn't sure if this will affect the long exposure any worst than the yellow sodium lights

climbed to the roof
aligned my equatorial mount
mounted the 70-300 on the x-t3 and left it taking 1 min exposures for 90 minutes

about half of the exposures were usable , others were ruined due to vibrations from traffic behind the house

spent another 90 mins this morning doing the post processing

Great detail in M42 Armando, specially considering the light pollution. Yes, those LEDs seem to have changed light pollution characteristics here too - why do they need to make them brighter - they should rather try to save that energy. Only got three nights of imaging this year, and only a couple in the fall. Good weather most of the winter coincided with full moon and when it got dark it got clouded. Just towards the end of our 3 month cold period (typical temperature -30°C) it shifted so that we got in those clear moonless nights, but now it got warm and cloudy the whole time. I am still working on my flats, so hope to get finished versions soon.

If you have a chance may be try comet Atlas which seems to have an interesting development now:

I just hope for some moonless dark nights here before the dark is gone before summer, but with the current forecast chances seem slim before the next moon.

Wonderful capture!

Looks surreal and calm.  An attractively enigmatic image...
