Interestingly we now see wintery scenes once the calendar tells us it's officially Spring
Availed myself of the winter sun shining on white snow to test whether I could
shoot UV hand-held with the Panagor 21mm f/4 lens on my monochrome NEX-5N (courtesy of Vivek Iyer and a spin-off from the last NG Photo Race 2019 in The Hague). No problems using a Baader U filter rear-mounted to the lens. Actually I was surprised how good this old lens apparently is. This is 1/60 sec, f/8, ISO 200 with the Baader U, which is indicative of a pretty UV-sensitive system. The ARW file is run through MonoChrome2DNG (courtesy Iliah Borg) to extract the best quality. For once, my standard converter Photo Ninja falls short of the mark.
The scene itself is just the view from my porch thus not of special interest except for testing purposes. But it does indicate the recent change of scenery, and the qualities of the lens.
