According to the calendar, today is first day of spring. Spring -- what spring. We only got more snow during the night.

It's a cute camera and I do appreciate cuties :)

In terms of dumbing-down restrictions, Nikon stopped far earlier than they did with the 1 Nikon system -- fortunately. Thus the Z50 has a lot to offer the serious enthusiast, apart from being so small (and cute).

Noted.  :)
  Spoiled by the silent shutter in theaters I was looking for a dx stealth replacement/companion for the d500. Not sure the Z50 wiill fit that bill

Probably it would not do for you. But there are plenty of other applications for which such a camera is excellent.

Fons' shot gives me hope...our trip crossing the Hardangervidda plateau back from our winter holiday wasn't of the easy kind. Convoy with ca 15 cars of which several managed to crash into each other. Then a senior driver got stuck and was in no way up to the task of following the car in front, resulting in loosing the sight of it's rear lights, snow packed up around every car and the whole convoy got to a halt. A monstrous snow blower had to be sent in and the 40km stretch took us 6 hrs...

Oh dear. Convoy driving is a challenge. Last time I did this there it "only" took 3 hrs.

Do bring extra warm clothing and food.
