Ribe, Denmark
« on: February 24, 2020, 12:18:35 »
We had to be in Gram (Denmark) and stayed in the nearby town of Ribe in Jutland, Denmark. The town is well worth a visit. It goes back to the Middle Ages and features some old buildings. I've been told 1,5 million people visit the town during summer. Fortunately for us, not many people during winter time.
During our stay it was very windy and rainy (lots of water in the fields and on the roads. Yet, I managed to take some photos with some blue skies.

Scaffolding under water!

Must agree about Ribe, nice and charming city, visited it last year.
The picture shows how the water level should be.
Taken fra a different angle, but the boat is the same.

Thank you. Quite a difference, Bent !  The land on the right side of your photo was under water as well.

Peter, thank you for sharing.  I enjoy your images not only because they are beautiful as travel photos but also because they are shot in your style of composition and taste in color I always appreciate.

Bent, thank your for posting the beautiful comparison.  Indeed the water level is all too high this year.

Thank you so much, Luc and Akira!
Luc: the town probably looks quite different during the summer when loads of tourists visit the place.
Akira: I am blushing. I am still trying to find out if I have a style but I cannot see or define it myself.

Peter, I like your generally simplistic, stripped-down approach, which I also try to achieve.
