The diagonal of the long shadow is wonderful. I like it that the texture fades from lower right (very sharp, much depth) to upper left (softer, less depth).
It might be interesting to darken the insect's shadow and the lower left shadow just a bit. And also pull down the extreme highlights a little bit. A darker shadow on the lower left would offset the diagonal symmetry and give the composition a bit of tension.
It is also possible that these suggestions wouldn't work well at all.
My larger point is that this photo offers several opportunities for other work-ups aside from the one you have presented.
