Magic Shift Converter, perhaps I should start spelling it out.  Converts lenses to shift w/+-10mm with a 1.4x focal length and 1 stop loss.

Interesting,,, so it's for Sony E mount and then you use an adapter to shoot it on a Nikon Z  :o ;D Well it looks nice!
Only for aperture ring lenses,,,
How is the image quality if you look at 100 % in the corners?

The F to E version, which I used, actually includes a mechanism for controlling aperture on G lenses.  The performance is great, attached is a 100% crop from lower left corner with zero sharpening.  Also impressive with this setup is no chromatic aberration.  It's not the sharpest setup, but just plain good all around with no real weakness optically.

I see.  Thank you!

You seem to have been unfortunate to get an inferior sampl of Irix lens.  Did you get a good sample of LAOWA?

The Laowa is fantastic.  I don't think the Irix was a bad sample as it's primary issue is aberrations, which I saw in all the reviews.  Usually, aberration doesn't bother me much, but I had never seen what it does to corners in an ultra-wide.  My wife described the look perfectly as 'barfy', and what's the point of an ultra-wide if the extra FOV is 'barfy'.  If it wasn't for that, it would have been fine, though I have to say after using the Laowa 12/2.8, I have no idea why the Irix 11/4 is so much larger.

Barfy,,, He he  ;)
Yes the 12mm looks amazingly compact and quite sharp and well corrected, otherwise it would also not be good on the shift extender converter gismo

Highly recommended.  The only downside is the lens hood can be a bit easy to knock out of alignment and give you black corners.  Given how small the hood is, I have no idea why they didn't just make it permanent.  I can't see why one would ever bother to remove it.  Optically, I have no real complaints.
