Welcome back, Mike, and congratulations on the new camera.

What did you do with the G9?
Anthony, as of the moment I still have it and the ten lenses. Probably as time passes they will be sold off or PXed for more Nikon lenses if the experiment goes well!
I had previously decided to part with kit I wasn't using.
The G9 is a super camera and the lenses are top notch, but I like to crop and obviously mu-43 is a bit short on pixels for doing that!

I shot with a G9 and the excellent Leica 42.5 (85 FX angle of view) a few weeks ago at a photowalk organised by Wex and Panasonic.  I was impressed, although there was no time to understand all the facilities of the camera.  But it is rather large, and, like you, I like to be able to crop, so a larger sensor is useful.

Maybe; maybe not.

I suspect that the G9 with a small core group of your more frequently used M43 lenses lenses would still have a place if you have a need to travel light.

Hugh, I think I’m going to agree with you, I have three or four lenses that I never use so they will probably make their way to the for sale list along with a G9 battery grip which has never been taken out of the box, the proceeds from their sale will go a long way to finance the Nikkor Z 14-30mm f4!
Merry Xmas Hugh

Merry Christmas Mike.  Hope it is not too cold where you are.  Warmish here.

I picked up a Z6 and a 14-30mm two days ago.  Have had a Z7 and a 24-70mm/4 for a quite while now.  Will use the FTZ and F-mount lenses for the longer glass.

FWIW, I have hung onto my Olympus M43 gear for the travelling light option, but I never got out of Nikon and find that the two formats to be quite compatible for my needs.  Others mileage might vary as they say.
