Thanks Peter. Images like these are the reason I returned to Nikon and full frame. It's wonderful indeed what these cameras are capable of. Now more than ever the photographer is the limiting factor

Jacques, obviously a huge amount of money is spent on the restoration work. Rightfully so the Russians are very proud of their beautiful palaces, museums and churches. And of course, tourists pay a lot of money to admire them.

Christian, thank you for the details and link.  Some houses in Hokkaido are equipped with Kachelofen, but this one in the Palace looks too different to identify. 

We call it "pechika" by borrowing the russian word for it.

I have been using Capture One for some time, and find it really good, particularly with Fuji files.  It also works really well with nefs.
