Using the D750 with DX lenses, may I suggest that you try also the alternatives 1,2x crop, slightly zoomed out and full FX, maybe a little more zoomed out.
I have found, to my great surprise, that all the DX lenses I own
10-20mm AF-P VR
18-55mm AF-P VR
70-300mm AF-P VR and
work best at 1,2x crop. In fact, so well that when I wish to carry a compact zoom lens, they are viable alternatives to FX lenses.
You will get 16 Mp image files, if you use jpeg you will get full auto-correction and the wide + normal zoom will offer a slightly wider angle of view than they do on my DX body (D7100). The 10-20 will have an angle of view corresponding to an FX 14-24, the 18-55 to an FX 24-70. They will be at their best somewhat stopped down - like f/8 for the wide zoom and f/5,6 for the normal. The tele zoom can be used fully open. They offer good enough image quality for causal use and they all have VR which to some extent may compensate for the low F-numbers.
Anyway, I suggest you try 1,2x crop and full FX as well!
