Peak Design QD Clips

The Peak Design Quick Detachable clips to remove the camera strap are a terrific accessory and I don't know how I lived without them. Only problem was that the right hand clip fell exactly over the shutter release and would always get in the way. Fixed the problem with a small dot of velcro and it doesn't effect the clip when I use the strap and doesn't interfere with the top screen or anything else.

Interesting. I've used Black Rapid for years and not felt the need to change.

What I like about that is being able to use the tripod foot on a long zoom or telephoto so the weights better balanced.
Do you just attach a couple of these tabs to the foot when you want to walk around with a longer lens?

What's the biggest/longest lens you go out & about with Bear?
Use a 70-200 or 300mm PF?

I saw various options for anchoring the whole camera on the Peak Design site, but wonder otherwise how the lens/camera combination bounces around esp if you're walking up/down hills

I think they would be great in situations where you would not have to be concerned about snags or obstacles.

For lenses with lens collar/foot, attach the PB directly or to a rail, most rails like RRS comes with an eye for that.


One PD anchor on the lens, one on camera.


Both on the lens.


Quite obvious when you try it out if it works with the lens in question

Yes that's how I attach my Black Rapid with longer lenses, but I missed that possibility when seeing the opening photos above.
Was just curious if that's what Bear Dale did.

If you have the older PD clips and you contact them, they will send you out a new updated version set for free and free delivery to anywhere in the world.

Took about 4 weeks for mine to arrive.
