Thanks for posting this, Carl.  An excellent illustration of why there are (and should be) professional journalists, reporters, researchers, and news organisations.  Imagine the consequences if many people got their news from airhead celebrities on social media?  Oh....wait...that's right...no need to imagine.

Thanks for it too. I’m getting sick on how people form their opinions based on social media.
It’s unbelievable what you read there after the polarization that took place here since the last elections, which gave us a madman.

Excellent image Aguinaldo

We are no exception with a president that seems unreal

If you have a chance take a look at a documental in netflix "The big hack" it is about how social media is being used to shape public opinion

Wise council, Keith!

"Falsehood flies, and the truth comes limping after it," Jonathan Swift wrote in The Examiner in 1710.

That quote has grown overs the years to be popularly attributed to a Winston Churchill version. "A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on", except that there's no record of Churchill ever saying that. An even earlier was used by Mark Twain gave him credit for "A lie can travel around the world and back again while the truth is lacing up its boots.". Even though the words have changed over the years with various users, whichever version you like, the point remains undeniable today.  ;)
