Birna's comment about "interpreting" what the meter is indicating is so important.

You need to understand that the meter's recommendation will produce a 12% Grey.

Do you actually want grey Snow or a grey Black Cat?

Hey Ann,

I understand the science behind lighting and have been experimenting different techniques since my first camera, Zenit E bought on a street of Moscow 30 years ago ;-P It is good to have all those concerns reminded, though. I am looking for some small projects for fun, but probably will chose to upgrade my negative copier for this weekend. Also, thanks for the link. I may try to find something locally first, or try to 3-D print one for free :)
