70F Saturday - Took Out The Df and Some Legacy Lenses
« on: April 15, 2019, 16:28:26 »
Finally had a great Saturday.  No rain, sun and warmer temps.  It was short lived as Saturday it was 70F+, Sunday it rained almost all day, plus tornados and temps in the 60's.  Today, it is very windy and 38F.

Did a little street, bringing the Nikon Df along with Nikon 28-85/3.5-4.5D and 80-200/4.5-5.6D.   Such a lovely combination of which I never tire.

These medium old lenses obviously work well on your Df :D

I briefly used the 28-85 in its AF incarnation,  but rely mainly on the manual AIS myself. Little experience with the light-weight 80-200 though.

That 80-200 was not really on my radar until I started looking more into the work of Galen Rowell and then into the man himself.   Found out that it was one of his favorites because it was small, lightweight and produced quality good enough for print work in the magazines he provided images.

I looked it up at my local camera shop and they had a few for very little money.  It was under $100 so I figured I'm not losing much if I hate it.    I do not hate it an love pairing it with the Df.

The reflections in the glass make it look like the guy is reading a story he disagrees with and he's slowly seething ;)

That very well could be, depending on the section of the paper he was involved in.  lol
