Hello! For this image I used the "old" AF-Nikkor 80mm f2.8, originally made for the Nikon F3AF camera, back in the eighties. This is really a very sharp lens. Image is taken with Nikon D3X at aperture f16.

Agree this lens is wonderfully sharp. A pity its manual focusing is so imprecise as the AF cannot be used (incompatible with anything other than F3AF). Its original CPU is incompatible as well, but can and should be swapped out for a more modern version.

These days I mainly use the 80/2.8 for IR.

Wonderful, Arrmando!

Here is a portrait taken with the 85mm PC-E (without tilt/shift applied) mounted on D750.

Thank you,
Yes, I used a Godox Ad600Pro with a large soft box and an AD200 as a second light. It is setup that I can easily take with me to a location

Art in nature? Observed on a road verge in late winter, when the old snow pack thaws and really shows its dirt and grime.

I admire those who are able to take photos of subjects like this at full aperture and get a beautiful image. In my attempts with a very narrow DoF, usually the picture just ends up looking out of focus, the sharp zone not enough to make the image hold together.

Winter night in the old parts of Oslo. 85mm f/1.4 AIS AFD 85mm f/1.4 on the D3. A modern camera probably might reduce noise more, but hardly impact or improve the scene mood :D
