John, you don´t make it easy for me with all those images from the D3S. Your cat keeps showing a strong personality and a...inclination to pose? Looks so relax. Or it is your patience? Love the framing colors.
I can recommend the D3s, quick AF, Great high ISO performance,  fast *but a bit heavy* with high class NEF's that contain lots of post-processing options.  Nothing obsolete about this camera.

It's a wild kitty, you need to know her 'relaxing' moments and act swiftly ;)

Nikon 105 f2.5 AIS.

I like it.  The lighting is pleasant.

Thanks Akira. I think I missed the focus a bit. Nothing too bad, I hope.

Cheers,

I haven't used the old 105 much, but not too long ago got my wife's old 105/2.8D back from the fungus doctor, and find it not bad for bug chasing.  The focus is a little slow, but it works.  Still pretty early here for interesting flowers and insects.  At least there are dandelions.

On the way back I ran into a robin, fiercely guarding her nest.  Every time I come by she swears at me in angry fluent tweets.

“Show your 105 images” means probably “shots taken with 105 mm lens by you” but let me post this shot of me instead. :-)
Quite unexpected outcome as this shot was taken by schoolmate of my daughter who is fifth grader. Somehow she managed get me into focus with Nikkor 105 1.8. Excuse me for being unshaven and kind of scruffy.  :-D

I like both of these Petr - good use of the 105's
Is there an image of the frog too (or did it escape and slip away?!)
