Here are two sunset shots I recently took. I really liked the atmosphere which I hope I managed to capture.

I hope you like them, comments are always welcome!

Hi, Susanne, the firs one is a real winner to me!  Thanks for sharing.

Very 'warm' sunsets indeed ;)   I prefer the second one where the kayak gives more depth.

For me, the second one resonates most.
The sun sets the tone, but it's the limpid ripples & shapes in the water from the canoe's wake that catches my eye.

Nice one Suse

One more vote for #2. Apart from what has already been said, imo. the elements of the image is better balanced within the frame - the size of the sun, kayak and distant shore etc. and the space around.

I liked the simple but intriguing geometry with three-part horizontal elements and a big yellowish white circle of the sundisc, somewhat haze atmosphere which gives an overall texture of oil paint, and the small boat that gives a nice sense of perspective to the image.

Thank you all for your nice comments, gentlemen! I actually prefer the second shot too, although I think the sun looks nicer in the first one, with the cloud passing through. But the kayak with its trail makes no 2 my favourite.

I love 'em. The huge sun with the deep black boats against the muted colored backdrop is very very nice. The boats make the shot.

Peter, yes it was very beautiful. I can only recommend to visit the Croatian islands!

Gary, thank you! I'm really glad you like them, since I am such a fan of your photos!

Here's another one I took after the sun had set.

#2 for me as well, the kajak is well placed in the picture. That last one is quite good too but I would probably crop the dish on the left.

Thanks for the tip, Jørgen! I think I'll do that.
