Wow, this is simply impressive. I just love the yellow in front of the creamy blue background. And the incredible sharpness of the tiny details. Wow, really.

I'm a little troubled by the combination of oversharpened detail and stacking artefacts. Such are prominent in places where styles extend over the rim of the corolla but at a different depth. The overall colour rendition is on the cold side, so the impact of the flowers is slightly reduced. Is the w/b set correctly against a colour palette card here? I would expect a warmer yellow. The bluish hues of the background might impact the yellows too.

On the plus side, the Zeiss lens appears to be a great performer in terms of sharpness although I never have been entirely convinced by its colour rendition.

With stacking, there are always artifacts, so the idea becomes (actually like all photos) and impression.

I'm fully aware of the issues stacking involves, Michael. Probably am overly critical because the level of executing is so high otherwise. For 'normal' prints such issues wouldn't be noticed anyway unless you scrutinise the image to find them.

So, no comments on the colour rendition?

I don't make prints. Never have. I will look into the color, but it has been corrected. It was early morning, so that may be a factor.

13",  800x1280 display:  The clarity of the shot is startling, but I do see the oversharpening when I zoom in. 
I, also, immediately was struck by the "cool" color look.   I accept that this is the way the photographer wanted me to see it.
Michael, you've mentioned before that you never make prints.
Funny...
The whole reason digital appealed to me---once the equipment became reasonably priced, in the mid-2000's---was that it made monochrome printing easier and more consistent, and it made color printing practical at all.
Not dumping para-aminophenol, 4-(methylamino)phenol sulfate, and other nasty things into the municipal waste stream made me feel better also.
