Moment in time
« on: November 15, 2018, 12:26:18 »
Tried some snapshots in the manner I don't usually do.

1. Woman in black
2. Human benzene

Thank you, Bruno!

Olivier, quite interestingly, "the moment" came right after I had started shooting.   ::)

I would think it is rather impossible to expect such a bizarre moment!   :o

Thomas, no, the lady wears a black single-use mask.  The Japanese-made masks are white, and I've heard that the Korean-made ones are black.

The hexagonal formation remineded me of the benzene circle which is kind of a circular dance of the carbon molecule.  :)

Gee, I wish my teacher of biochemistry would have thought us that, I would have remembered it better (though we still call those "Aromatics" (or whatever the english word)) ::)

Surprize - people rather than cityscapes.
Delight - the benzene stuff. You caught the instant décisif, it seems. HCB lässt grüssen.

Thank you, Airy.  These images were shot during the meeting with Jonathan (JJChan here), and I was trying out his style of shooting.

The "benzene" was totally a beginner's luck, I would say.  Aber hoffentlich lächelt HCB.  ;)

Akira,
While the second shot was truly a bit of serendipity, the first one in my opinion is not particularly interesting. As the central figure is your subject, I suggest cropping vertically to eliminate the persons on our right of her, which I think tightens up the composition.
Additionally, both shots suffer from a serious lack of contrast.
Robert
I shoot with film. That's film. F...i...l...m. You remember film. It was in all the papers.

Robert, thank you for visiting and your suggestion.

As for the processing, I lowered the contrast intentionally to make them look like the old B&W films shot with the uncoated lenses but I may have done that a bit too far.

As for the first image, I decided to leave the frame uncropped, because other figures placed in radiating manner seemed interesting compositionally.  I'm not sure if it is as effective as I wished.
