Selected by European Wildlife Protection Project

This picture was selected to be the cover of all publications
in Europe for 2019/2020 by a wildlife protection agency.


The selection came with a prize and exposure contract.


Light is free… capturing it is not!

Nice shot and well laid out allowing the publications to put their logo and titles in the open spaces without detracting from the photograph (sorry - when I worked in advertising, these considerations would sometimes come to mind).

Nice shot and well laid out allowing the publications to put their logo and titles in the open spaces without detracting from the photograph (sorry - when I worked in advertising, these considerations would sometimes come to mind).

I am not a birder but a publishing photographer and layout artist. All my
wildlife work is biased by the eventual integration into some kind of layout
so I adopted a more graphic than documentary approach to compositions.
