I was thinking about buying a Fuji X-H1 or Fuji XT-3.
But ... there was a rare vacant parking space outside my local Leica agent, so ........
I bought a Leica Q.
35 mm sensor (what some people call full-frame), 24MP, fixed 28 mm f./1.7 lens.

Congrats!  Now that you have the camera, please post, not in a hurry, some images taken with it!

Congratulations!

a clear argument for dealers to provide comfortable parking choices in front of their shops ;-)

(I generally disregard car driving altogether, but I see that in certain situations no other option makes sense, like in certain US cities...)

Spur-of-the-moment purchases often have been lying patiently and latent waiting to be effectuated. So don't resist the urge.

Congratulations. We look forward to results.

A quick snapshot shows that the Leica lens hood cuts the corners of the frame.

Not good!

It's the right lens hood. Supplied with the camera. Fitted correctly.

Is this from a raw file, processed with a converter that does not compensate for the rather significant distortion of the 28mm lens??

Yes. RAW file processed with Photo Ninja.

As soon as you remove the barrel distortion they are gone, a little homework on the camera will tell you a lot about the camera. LEICA User form for instance;)

Have you added a filter ? The extra thickness may induce vignetting.

This is by design!

Old news !

The camera firmware adjust the file for you,,,

Don’t shoot raw if you don’t know how to process the file ;)
