driftwood
« on: August 10, 2018, 15:39:26 »
Hi all. This was taken on Driftwood Beach on Jekyll Island off the coast of Georgia. There is tons of driftwood including many whole trees (roots and all). This one somehow ended up "planted" in the sand as if it had grown there.

great capture; how unusual that it found its way to be planted in the sand, very interesting

Hi DNSJR.

There were others "planted" upside down with roots for branches. The tide comes in way past where this tree was.

This is beautiful, not only visually but also in terms of the overall atmosphere!
