Thank you. As photographers we should be aware of the fact that an image can lie more than 1000 words :D

Actually this was my first traditional "selfie".

Not a sea for swimming!  Is that a red flag?

Great capture of the rough sea!

Nice soft selfie, Birna ;)

Love that sea, Armando.  Lovely colours.

That shot makes me homesick of the sea. Low point of view? It is like being there. Excellent choice of what to include and what not. Thanks for sharing Armando

In Spain the flags at tbe beach are: green- no problem, orenge- careful, red-don’t swim. It looks like that here too

Contemplative mood on Ruth's veranda this morning. Time for small talk, coffee, some sun, and reading the weekend newspaper in depth. She's off to the Hvaler archipelago later today, whilst I follow suit tomorrow. A location without internet access. How peaceful it shall be.

On a tangent note, that 11-27.5 kit zoom accompanying the new pink Nikon mirrorless  is darned sharp.

Is that the same as the AW1 kit lens?

The specifications apparently are identical, but the AW1 lens is designed for underwater use. Thus Nikon probably tweaked the optics for that purpose. One might compare the two lenses on an AW1 body only, as the AW1 lens will not mount on other 1-series Nikons.

A task for a rainy day ...

Thanks for the explanation, Birna.

We will have to wait for the rain (and probably for some cold as well) :)

Grasses to control erosion, trees to controll the biosphere and so more...

As no trees can grow on most of the barrren and or deserted land on this planet, the right kind of gassland ecosystem might be the solution for a lot of problems. These ecosystems seem to be build up by the right kind of deep rooting grass combined with the right kind of ruminats, carnivores that hunt them and microorganismms. See: https://www.savory.global/
